For the second year running the Borrowdale Hotel have held their ‘Snap It Up’ competition, offering guests the chance to send in images from their recent stay at the hotel. The best 12 images are selected from each competition and used to produce beautiful glossy calendars, with the winning image receiving a prize of two nights dinner, bed & breakfast at the Borrowdale Hotel and the 11 runners up receiving a bottle of bubbly on their next stay.

For the 2014 calendar guests were asked to send images showing the hotel or surrounding area. The calendar competition raised a lot of interest and we received so many fantastic images, it was difficult to pick the best one. The calendars were available to purchase in the hotel with £2.00 from each sale going to the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, raising a total of £500.

For the 2015 calendar we wanted to put a different spin on it and asked our guests to send in images from their time in the Borrowdale Valley which included their four-legged friends… the calendar has now been printed and is on sale at the hotel and available online – click here! £2.00 of each calendar will go to SARDA – Search and Rescue Dog Association.

We are now looking for our guests to send in images of their visit to the Northern Lake District to produce our 2016 calendar. To enter our ‘Snap It Up’ competition send your images to photos@lakedistricthotels.net along with the location that the image was taken. The best image will win a 2 night stay at one of our Lake District Hotels with 11 runner’s up winning a bottle of champagne when they next stay with us.
