The management and staff at the Borrowdale Hotel in the Borrowdale Valley have been celebrating this week, with news of their AA four star achievement…

The hotel was visited by the AA Inspector and was praised for its excellent customer service, warm welcome, lovely new-look refurbishments and fine dining, which matched the hotel to its newly appointed four star criteria.

Daniella Hope, Marketing Director for Lake District Hotels said “The Borrowdale Hotel was bought by Lake District Hotels five?? years ago, since then all 40 bedrooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard, along with the newly refurbished ground floor in March, of this year. After investing a great deal of time and energy in the refurbishment of the hotel, it has resulted in being awarded a four star rating.”

The accolade from the AA reflects the consistent high standards and superb facilities on offer at the Borrowdale Hotel, as well as the excellent service provided by its staff. The hotel is well known for its friendly team of staff, menus featuring fresh, local produce and their beautiful dining room with extensive wine cellar, which offers regular wine tasting evenings. The new-look conservatory and bar lounges have maintained a traditional touch with a twist of the modern.
