With over 400 staff working for Lake District Hotels Ltd. we thought it would be a great opportunity to find out what they thought about Christmas in the hotels and the Lake District by asking them to write a story for the blog.
Our first staff blogger is Tanya Sentence who is Sales Manager at the Lodore Falls Hotel. Tanya has been with us for over 5 years and originally comes from New Zealand. Christmas and New Year is a big event in all 6 of the hotels and Tanya explains some of the best bits that take place at the Lodore.

Twilight is one of the most popular series of books and films ever, so it’s no surprise that both of our December Twilight Party Nights at the Inn on the Lake went down so well!
Guests were greeted by a ‘Blood Cocktail’ before enjoying a five course dinner, including coffee in the recently refurbished Lake View Restaurant.

Mike Ward, Head Chef at the Lodore Falls Hotel, has given the traditional trifle an intriguing festive twist. Replacing the standard custard with the famously festive Eggnog and adding Grand Marnier and some other delicious surprises, has transformed this dessert into a luxurious winter warmer.
