Jubilee Afternoon Tea fit for a Corgi!
Lake District Hotel’s Ltd. officially launched their Jubilee Afternoon Tea at the refurbished Inn on the Lake at the weekend. Included in their Diamond Jubilee tea party was Ferguson the corgi who gave a seal of approval to the variety of very British cakes and fancies which include a modern twist on the Victoria Sponge.

Kit Graves, Director of the hotels said “When we discovered that the Victoria Sponge was specially invented in a competition for QueenVictoria’s Diamond Jubilee, we wanted to include it in a more modern way in the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. We have also included a few little extras like Strawberries and Queen Cheesecake and mixed berry fools alongside favourite finger sandwiches, fresh scones and shortbread.”
