29th April – The Lakeland Festival of Light 2017 for Nepal
Last year the local team from Lakeland Mountain Guides raised money to support the isolated communities of Nepal by holding a festival of light and walking up Catbells with lanterns. They are planning something even more ambitious this year. Why not join the walkers who will be setting off from Keswick’s Moot Hall at 5pm

Who really needs an excuse to dress up, have a lovely meal and a fun day out? Our annual lunch event begins with cocktails and canapés followed by a live television transmission of one of the most popular events of the summer’s social calendar. Our annual Summer Solstice guided walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle has steadily grown in popularity over the last few years. It’s an early 3am start, and when you arrive you’ll be enchanted by our very own Druid Shaman “Call of the wild” and the ancient Druid ritual that welcomes the sun. Afterwards, breakfast overlooking the Lakeland landscape, will never have tasted so good; porridge, sausage and bacon sandwiches and hot drinks.
