The award-winning Inn on the Lake in Glenridding is the perfect setting for a glamorous fashion show, set on the shores of Lake Ullswater, with stunning views of Ullswater and the surrounding fells. 57 sophisticated, elegant ladies joined us today (Thursday 16th March) from various parts of the country, to attend our fashion show, hosted by Hilary from the fabulous Maureen Cookson Ltd.

Maureen Cookson Ltd is a lifestyle destination in Whalley, a fashion store that includes shoes, accessories a delicatessen and now an 88-seater wine bar! From coats through to cocktail wear, and everything in between.

Today, guests were treated to a line-up of intriguing and abstract collections, that included outfits that will make you stand out from the crowd, shoes and accessories.

Once the fashion show was finished, a delicious afternoon tea was served and the raffle winners were picked by our General Manager, Gary Wilson. Prizes included an afternoon Tea for two at the Inn on the Lake, 6 floral displays from Lake District Hotels and a £100 voucher to spend at Maureen Cookson Ltd. An impressive £300 was raised from the raffle, with all proceeds going to our charity of the year, Blood Bikes Cumbria.

Gary commented: “It’s always a great pleasure to host events like this at the Inn on the Lake. Our next big charity event is our Royal Ascot Ladies Race Day, which is taking place on Thursday 22nd June, £10 from each ticket sale, as well as money raised from the raffle and fun money will go to our charity of the year, Blood Bikes Cumbria.”
