We’re pleased to announce Blood Bikes Cumbria as our chosen charity for 2017. Towards the end of last year we reached out to the general public to nominate their favourite charity and received a fantastic response with over 600 entries. A large percentage of the nominations were in favour of Blood Bikes Cumbria, here’s a few that really made them stand out from the crowd;

As some of you may know, the Lodore Falls Hotel closed its doors on Tuesday 3rd January to undergo a complete ground floor renovation; the project is set to take six weeks to complete, with the hotel planning to reopen mid-February. Every part of the ground floor will go through a complete transformation, from the hotel entrance, bar, reception, Lake View restaurant, corridors, toilets, function room to the kitchen.

It’s almost Christmas, and also almost the end of 2016! I have to say, it has been a very exciting year for me working at Lodore Falls, and I have loved helping each and every bride & groom, you have all been wonderful. My last blog of the year is just one looking back on 2016, one from the point of view of a brand new, eager, and somewhat slightly scared wedding coordinator.
National Christmas Jumper Day took place on Friday 16th December; it’s that time of year when people everywhere get in on the act, to wear their festive jumper and raise money for charity. On this day Lake District Hotels joined in the festive fun by encouraging their employees to replace their uniforms for the day with fun, pretty, hilarious, grim, goofy, but very Christmassy jumpers, all in aid of our 2016 Charity of the year, Amy’s Care.
