The Lodore Falls Hotel and Borrowdale Hotel in the Borrowdale Valley reopened their doors on Thursday 10th December after negotiating the aftermath of storm Desmond. The two hotels have maintained their festive cheer and have been welcoming locals and residents in to enjoy Christmas lunches, mulled wine and mince pies, party nights and overnight stays.
It’s been a tough week for many people in Cumbria following on from the floods and devastation of storm Desmond. Our two lakeside hotels; the Lodore Falls Hotel in Borrowdale and the Inn on the Lake in Ullswater have both suffered from the storm, however we are pleased to announce that both hotels are open as usual.
