Downton style afternoon tea at the Borrowdale Hotel is back by popular demand. After the success of last year’s Downton style afternoon tea and with the new series in full flow, the Borrowdale Hotel wanted to give their guests the chance to star in their own version of Downton Abbey.

Genevieve of Carlisle held their annual fashion show at the Inn on the Lake on Thursday 11th September. The day raised a total of £1,305 for ‘Hospice at Home’, from a percentage on ticket sales and raffle ticket sales. Raffle prizes included afternoon tea for two and flower arrangements from the Inn on the Lake.

The Lakeland Book of the Year 2014 was revealed yesterday (Tuesday 15th July), at an awards luncheon, held at the Inn on the Lake. The awards ceremony is now in it’s 30th year and had 60 books entered into the awards.
