We have the perfect wedding venue at the Inn on the Lake, set in 15 acres of landscaped grounds with sweeping lawns to the lakeshore. Our General Manager, Gary Wilson and his team not only take great pride in looking after you on your special day, they also thoroughly enjoy the day themselves when their efforts are richly rewarded with happy smiles from the wedding couple and their families and friends.
We receive lots of wonderful comments and reviews from our wedding guests and wanted to share this particularly lovely letter from a recent Valentine’s Day wedding at the Inn on the Lake.
“On behalf of my family and all the guests I would like to thank the entire team at the Inn on the Lake for the outstanding wedding reception they provided for Alex and Hannah. From the day that we met in the Orangery to discuss dates and the plans for the reception, to the time I checked out on the Sunday after a hearty breakfast, everyone provided a very professional and friendly service.
Working with guests requires patience, skill and judgement and I can only be complimentary in the way that your team catered for the individual tastes and requests of members of the party, and in so doing exceeded the expectations of all attending.
The wedding breakfast was a feast to behold with the lamb cooked to perfection and wines that complimented the palette of tastes and flavours through the courses. Everyone was extremely complementary of the quality and standard of the food which must be hard to achieve when catering for such a large number in one sitting. So on behalf of us all many thanks to the chef and the kitchen team for this superb culinary experience.
And now for the apologies, I know with the numerous speeches and anecdotes, plus a film preview of the stag weekend, that we ran over on agreed timing. With the restaurant booked for your Valentine’s night’s dinner it left the staff challenged to lay-up for the first sittings. But once again the professionalism of the staff came in and the order of things were seamlessly adjusted by George the planner to accommodate both the awaiting diners as the wedding guests moved straight outside to enjoy the fantastic firework display, followed through to music, dancing, drinks and a buffet meal, in the more informal and relaxed surroundings of the newly refurbished Ramblers Bar, that proved to be a perfect ending to the couple’s very special day!
Gary, I recall you saying you were proud to have such a great team at the Inn on the Lake and that guests should be treated like they were family members visiting. In my view and from all who attended the wedding your team excelled in this mantra, for I know we would all be proud to treat family members with the curtesy, service levels and understanding we received from your team.
