Children Stay and Eat Free . . .
This offer is available (subject to terms) at the Skiddaw Hotel,The Kings Arms Hotel and the George Hotel, when children are staying with 2 adults.

All the hotels offer a special Childrens Menu, but if your child would like something else to eat, our chefs will be happy to accommodate this with plenty of notice. High tea is served early evening to allow the parents to enjoy
their dinner in the Restaurant. Children are welcome in the restaurant before 7.30pm and high chairs can be provided. Pushchairs and babylifts are not allowed in the restaurant.

Learn how to sail. . .
Why not learn a new skill while you are on holiday? Sailing lessons are available for both children and adults, either individually or together on Ullswater (the Inn on the Lake) or Derwentwater (the Lodore Falls Hotel). Once you have arranged your course you can just walk down to the hotel’s lakeshore, where a sailing instructor will await you. Please book lessons before you arrive at the hotel. Other hotels in the group can also offer this service.

If you are not interested in taking lessons you can hire sailing boats, canoes and kayaks and explore the lake on your own.

Tennis Coaching . . .
Book tennis lessons before you arrive at the Lodore Falls hotel and enjoy some professional coaching on the hotel’s outdoor tennis court.

Beginners to experienced coaching available for both children and adults.

Teenage Pampering . . .
At the Lodore Falls Hotel beauty salon a range of fun treatments, like massages and make-up, are available for children over 12 years of age. To avoid disappointment, we advise you to book treatments before you arrive at the hotel.

Walking . . .
The most popular activity in the Lake District is
undoubtedly walking, so why not start the children on this enjoyable activity as early as possible.
Pick up maps and perhaps a picnic from the
reception and set off for a half or full days walking. Walking boots can be hired locally.

A spectacular lake cruise . . .
Take the boat from Keswick Pier, Ullswater Pier or from the Lodore Falls Hotel landing and set sail for an enjoyable and scenic trip on the lake. The children will love it and so will you.

Baby Listening . . .
While you are having dinner in the evening
our baby listening service can check on sounds from your bedroom. Baby sitting may also be available with plenty of notice.

Fun Games and DVDs . . .
Each hotel has a ‘magic box’ full of board games and books ideal for rainy days. On other days the fi lm club will be showing children’s films in the‘cinema’. Film club available at Lodore Falls Hotel, Inn on the Lake and Skiddaw Hotel, for more details please contact the reception.
