The general manager and his team not only take great pride in
looking after Lakeland weddings at the Inn on the Lake, but they thoroughly enjoy the day themselves, when their efforts are richly rewarded with happy smiles from the wedding couple and their families
and friends.
From beginning to the end, from the minutest detail to the bigger picture every single requirement is handled with professionalism and ease. Flexibility and working together to choose your menu and wines
You can choose from an extensive selection of a la carte and set menus. If you wish to pick and choose and change around the menus, we will be happy to assist, and when it comes to selecting wine and drinks to compliment your menu, we have the expertise to advise you.
If you have something else in mind, our head chef will be happy to meet you.
Evening Functions
If you wish to extend your wedding day into the evening we can recommend three venues;
Ramblers Bar and outside area, is available for hire for up to 150 guests. With its Lakeland stone walls, wooden floor and beams, this is a perfect venue for a disco, live music or a ceilidh band. There is a charge for exclusive hire of Ramblers Bar, and a buffet for a minimum number of guests must be taken.
Here at the Inn on the Lake we are very proud to announce that in conjunction with The Complete group we are now able to hire a luxury wedding marquee set on the shores of the Lake, catering for up to 200 guests. The marquee offers both you and your guests state of the art facilities whilst being surrounded by the natural beauty of the Lake Ullswater and its surrounding mountains.
Alternatively, a romantic evening cruise on Ullswater. Walk from the hotel to the Ullswater Steamer's Pier, only 5 minutes away, and board your own
private launch for a couple of hours of spectacular cruising combined with a lovely buffet.

Civil Wedding Ceremonies
The Inn on the Lake has three approved suites for the civil wedding ceremony, offering flexibility when it comes to numbers - from smaller more intimate gatherings to much larger celebrations.
Lakeside Gazebo, situated in our magnificent grounds overlooking Lake Ullswater, seating available for up to 120 guests.
Glenridding Suite, situated in the hotel overlooking Lake Ullswater with doors directly on to the large terrace, seating available for up to 70 guests.
Ullswater Lounge, situated in the hotel lounge overlooking Lake Ullswater, seating available for up to 100 guests
We offer a totally unique and memorable location for your wedding which ever venue you choose.
Alternatively, the charming nearby church of Patterdale provides an excellent setting for a religious blessing.
