Make this a Christmas to remember. Arrive on Christmas Eve in time to settle into your warm and welcoming room and perhaps explore the pretty market town of Keswick.

Christmas Eve
During the afternoon mulled wine and mince pies will be served as you relax in the lounge bar.
In the evening join us in LB’s Pizza House for a pre-dinner Champagne and canapés reception where you will meet the hotel’s General Manager and his team, as he takes this opportunity to tell you a little about the coming days events and entertainment.
Afterwards make your way to the Courtyard Restaurant where a delicious Gala dinner will be prepared by our Head Chef and his team.
Following dinner take part in a magical candlelit procession to the shores of Lake Derwentwater. Enjoy a glass of hot mulled wine and hot roasted chestnuts as you experience the beauty, peace and tranquillity of the lake at night. (Warm boots and jackets recommended!). During the evening don’t miss the Keswick Churches Together Christmas concert in the Market square outside the hotel.
Christmas Day
Breakfast on Christmas morning is a leisurely affair. Start
your day with a traditional hearty Cumbrian Breakfast and why not add a bit of sparkle with a glass of Bucks Fizz. Perhaps Santa will still be around!
Relax and enjoy the morning at your leisure. Open presents, perhaps take a stroll to the lake and feed the ducks, or wander through the park along the banks of the river. Whatever you decide to do, you are guaranteed to be surrounded by the beauty and seasonal peace of the Lake District in Winter.
After the Lakeland air has stimulated your appetite it will be time to indulge in a sumptuous Christmas Day Lunch, making sure you leave room for coffee and mince pies. In the evening the bar is open for pre-dinner drinks and the fabulous ‘Taste of the Lakes and Fells’ buffet provides a perfect opportunity to taste some traditional Cumbrian fayre.
With relaxation in mind we have prepared a fun Christmas quiz to round off the day for an entertaining evening.
Boxing Day
A true Cumbrian breakfast will be served together with a stirrup cup of Kings Arms Hot Punch, guaranteed to get you going for the day ahead. Take time to enjoy the local walks or get the best bargains in the Boxing Day Sales in some of the great walking shops and boutiques in Keswick!
We then suggest you wrap up warm and enjoy a scenic walk to a surprise location where you’ll be greeted with an exquisite picnic, weather permitting. Depending on how many calories you wish to burn post-Christmas, this is followed by a choice of a leisurely or a more invigorating walk returning to the hotel. Suitable clothing and footwear advised!
On the last evening enjoy a five course farewell dinner after which you are welcome to join other residents and locals to wind the night away in the lounge bar.

For those of our guests, who leave us today, we bid you a fond farewell and hope you have had a fantastic Christmas with us. However, if you wish to extend your break with a few more days, you can take advantage of our “mid festivities break” rates.
