Upon your arrival, take a moment to settle into your comfortable room before indulging in a warm cup of mulled wine and a delightful afternoon tea buffet, setting the perfect tone for your festive getaway. Later in the day, immerse yourself in the festive ambiance as our local carol singers serenade you outside the hotel.

Your evening begins with a sophisticated cocktail and canapés reception in the bar, where our General Manager and his team will provide insight into the exciting three-day itinerary ahead. Following this, we gather in the stylish restaurant for a sumptuous four-course welcome dinner, marking the start of our celebrations.
Afterward, embark on an enchanting candlelit procession to the tranquil shores of Lake Derwentwater. With a warming glass of Baileys hot chocolate in one hand and a sparkler in the other, bask in the serenity of the Lake District at night (weather permitting). We recommend wearing warm jackets and walking boots for this unique experience.

Start your Christmas morning with a hearty Cumbrian breakfast elevated by a refreshing glass of Buck’s Fizz, and who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus!
Enjoy the morning at your own pace, whether you opt to unwind at the hotel, take a leisurely stroll to the lake to feed the ducks, or partake in our cheerful Christmas treasure hunt around Keswick for a shot at winning a prize. Don't forget to participate in our festive “Guess the Weight of the Christmas Cake” competition at some point!
Once the invigorating Lakeland air has whetted your appetite, join us in the restaurant where you'll be treated to a decadent five-course Christmas Day lunch, followed by tea, coffee and Christmas cake. At 3pm we will broadcast the King’s speech.
In the evening, delight in our splendid Yuletide buffet featuring a tempting array of hot and cold dishes expertly prepared by our Head Chef and his team. To add to the festivities, we've prepared a lively Christmas quiz for your enjoyment and a chance to snag a prize.

Following a delicious traditional Cumbrian breakfast, bundle up and embark on a guided walk to a picturesque spot, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a savoury pasty, mince pie and a hot beverage. Depending on your energy levels, you can opt to continue exploring the scenic surroundings or head back to town to partake in the Boxing Day sales.
In the afternoon, join us for a timeless game of bingo, offering the opportunity to win fantastic prizes. Later, bid farewell in style with a sumptuous four-course farewell dinner crafted to tantalize your taste buds. Then, unwind to the soothing melodies of live music performed by our talented resident singer, ensuring a memorable conclusion to your stay.
