Throughout 2015 Lake District Hotels ran a competition to find the best photographs from the Northern Lake District, to produce our 2016 calendar. We received so many fantastic images it was hard to select the best 50, and even harder to narrow it down to just 12. To help make the final decision we asked award-winning landscape photographer Mark Littlejohn to judge the submitted images.
A big congratulations goes out to the 11 runners up, each winning a bottle of bubbly for the next time they stay with us, and to the overall winner Tom Mackie, who’s image featured on the front of the calendar and in July, winning 2 nights dinner, bed and full Cumbrian breakfast at one of our hotels.
