When I think of autumn weddings, all that goes through my mind is the soft, autumnal light through windswept hair, berry lips and lots & lots of beautiful, fiery leaves. It is safe to say that October is definitely my favourite month, and the Lake District is the perfect setting for your wedding at this time of year.
The drive to The Lodore Falls is magical, your guests will be astounded with the fully arched trees cascading their leaves over the Borrowdale road. Derwentwater is peaceful and Catbells is the perfect back drop to your day.
Autumn weddings mean subtle romance, elegant glamour and beauty inspired by Mother Nature herself. Decorate the room with apothecary jars filled with autumnal goodies like fallen leaves, cinnamon sticks and apples. Place them on wooden logs and scatter berries all around, splashing the tables with colour. The room will look fantastic and smell amazing! Keeping your colour scheme simple for most décor is the perfect excuse to throw golds, reds and oranges around the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
