Behind the scenes with Tom & Emily at the Inn on the Lake

At the Inn on the Lake, we love to hear behind the scene wedding stories from our couples, from when they met to where they went on honeymoon and everything in between. On the 8th April last year, Tom and Emily said ‘I Do’ and now they are back to give our followers a sneak peek into their special day.

Emily and Tom first looked around the Inn on the Lake on a rainy day and even in terrible weather, they fell in love with our fabulous hotel. From the moment of booking they were hooked, and throughout the next 14 months our wedding co-ordinator Kerri was on hand to help plan and organise their special day.

The happy couple commented, “In our wildest dreams we could never have imagined a day as perfect as our wedding day. We felt so lucky to be surrounded by our family and friends and were truly overwhelmed by all the love we received.”

“On the day itself it couldn’t have run more smoothly. We were lucky enough that the weather was amazing so I could see the gazebo being set up while I got ready. Throughout the day all the staff were absolutely incredible. All our guests commented on how gorgeous the hotel was, how delicious the food was (both wedding breakfast and in the evening) and we didn’t need to worry about a thing.”

“Our centrepieces and other decorations looked beautiful and everything was moved through and set up in the Rambler’s Bar & Candleroom exactly as we had asked. The attention to detail, attitude of the staff and of course, the location itself added up to the perfect day and we couldn’t have asked for more from the hotel. They made the planning feel easy and the day was everything we could have ever wanted and more!”
