On Sunday 3rd November, the Inn on the Lake hotel opened their doors to reveal a winter wonderland full of Christmas decorations, wedding suppliers and mince pies – any bride-to-be’s dream!
Yes, Sunday marked the return of our Winter Wonderland Wedding Fayre, and what an exciting day it was for us all. We welcomed hundreds of newly engaged damsels through the doors and also rendezvoused with some fair maidens whose big days are in the not-too-distant future.
The event gave all future brides and grooms the chance to have a nosy around the excellent selection of wedding exhibitors who were in attendance on the day. It also gave us the chance to meet lots of lovely new faces – and welcome back some familiar ones who had already chosen the Inn on the Lake as their luxurious Lake District wedding venue.
What’s more, the scent of cinnamon filled the air as we greeted all our guests with a warm mince pie and a steaming glass of mulled wine to take the chill off. Of course, there was the option of something lighter instead for anyone who was not quite ready to embrace their Christmas spirit yet!
Meet the suppliers
We hosted an impressive 31 wedding exhibitors that was made up of photographers, makeup artists, hairdressers, florists, wedding DJs and even an all-dancing, all-singing supercar!
Of course, these were just some of the wedding suppliers we had in attendance on the day – there was a wedding supplier for just about anything! If it was in any way related to weddings, you name it, we had a supplier for it!

Inn on the Lake Refurbishment
The Wedding Fayre was also a chance for many to see our plans to modernise the hotel starting November 2019 and ending by March 2020. We discussed how the hotel will look with many guests and also had our mood boards on show to give people an idea of the colours and textures that would be used across the ground floor.
