On Sunday 17th November, the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa was a hub for local talent and all things Christmassy as we held our annual Christmas ballet performance!

Keeping up tradition.
This year, we welcomed over 30 gifted dancers from The Starkey School of Theatre Dance based in Whitehaven who put on a moving performance of a true Christmas classic, ‘The Nutcracker’ ballet. The recital was a shortened version of the Tchaikovsky masterpiece, which left many feeling undeniably festive.
Putting on an annual performance of a classic ballet production has become a Christmas tradition at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, and is something we all look forward to each year. In attendance were many proud parents, our Lake District Hotels Directors and family, plus many of those in search of some early Christmas spirit.

The talented dancers were not the only ones who went to the ‘Land of Sweets’ that day, as all guests got the chance to indulge on our Yuletide Afternoon Tea following the performance!
The afternoon tea was enjoyed in our award-winning Lake View Restaurant, where guests were able to soak up breath-taking views of Derwentwater and the surrounding mountain range.
