Charity Event at the Inn on the Lake raises £1,760 for Amy’s Care

For a third consecutive year the Inn on the Lake have hosted their fabulous Royal Ascot Ladies Race Day. The charity event took place on Thursday 16th June in the unique Orangery and Lake View restaurant of our award-winning hotel.

Over 60 glamorous ladies travelled from all over Cumbria and as far as Lancashire and Yorkshire to attend the event, for some this was their third appearance at our glitzy event.

On arrival, guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly and canapés in the Orangery, which were enjoyed whilst fun money donations were made and bets were placed. Ladies then made their way to the AA 2 Rosette Lake View restaurant for a live television transmission of the Royal Ascot Race Day. Local singer Glen Anderson entertained in between races, as a superb 3 course Royal Ascot lunch was enjoyed by all.

The day raised a total of £1,760 for our chosen charity of the year, Amy’s Care, with £10 from each ticket sale going to charity, as well as raffle tickets sales and donations for fun money.

Prizes were generously donated by Grapevine, Caterite, Ullswater Steamers, Jennings Brewery, H&H Reeds Printers, Pioneer, Crystal Galleries, Ribble Farm, City Electrical Factors, Coniston Corporate, Eden Valley Meat Company, Out of Eden, Heatons, M&J Foods, Richard Hayworth Ltd, Singer Glen Anderson and Fluid Productions.
