Spring in the Lake District truly is such a wonderful time of the year. The flowers begin to bloom, the weather is much kinder and the days are longer. Plus, Easter is right around the corner and luckily, this year there are so many fun Easter events taking place in the UK’s most beautiful region.

Easter Egg Hunts
Over the Easter weekend, the Easter Bunny is scheduled to make an appearance across 3 of our hotels and word has it, he’s bringing some Easter Eggs along too!
To make a day of it, we have arranged for him to hide a series of Easter Eggs across our vast and beautiful gardens for the children to find on the day.
Each egg will have a letter printed on the front of it and it’s your job to find all the letters then unscramble the words to reveal an Easter-inspired treat.
There will be a prize for every child who participates in the Easter Egg hunt.
Please note, you must be dining at the hotel on the day to be eligible to receive an entry sheet. Please ask your server for one during your meal.

Easter Egg Donation Appeal
Help us bring a smile to those who need it most this Easter!
We are collecting Easter Eggs to donate to local good causes in the run up to Easter and we are asking you for help.
In Keswick & Borrowdale, the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, Borrowdale Hotel, Inn on the Square, Skiddaw Hotel & Kings Arms are all collecting Easter Eggs to donate to the residents and carers at Millfield Care Home in Keswick.
This is to bring some well-deserved cheer after the hardships faced over the past 2 years and after all, who doesn’t love chocolate.
In addition, the Inn on the Lake hotel at Glenridding is collecting Easter Eggs to donate to Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Any Easter Egg donations will make a child smile.
HOW TO DONATE: If you would like to donate to either of these excellent causes, please deliver your chocolate Easter Eggs to any of our corresponding reception teams. For Jigsaw, please make sure you deposit your Easter Egg before 10th April so we can deliver them in time for Easter.
Design-an-Easter-Egg Competition
If you pay a visit to the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, Inn on the Lake or Skiddaw Hotel in the run up to Easter you will be greeted by an ‘Easter tree’ complete with a selection of hand-decorated wooden eggs draped from the branches!
These decorated Easter eggs have all been designed by local primary schools who we have been running a competition with.
We asked the students of Bassenthwaite School, Borrowdale School and Patterdale School to all decorate these eggs and our favourites from each individual school will win a prize. The prize is a giant chocolate Easter Egg with the winner’s name on which will be gifted after the school holidays once a winner has been selected.
In the meantime, you can visit any of these hotels and see the fantastic creations on display! The displays are as follows:
