Local charity to get 10p for every pint of Cumberland Ale sold at our seven hotels

Lake District Hotels Chosen Charity of the Year

This August we’re donating 10p from every pint of Cumberland Ale that we sell across our seven hotels to our chosen charity of the year, Amy’s Care. So if you are in one of our hotels and fancy a pint of real ale, why not sample the Cumberland Ale and your 10p will go to a worthy cause.

Amy’s Care is a local community group who provides social clubs, holidays and specialist care for older adults suffering from dementia, and since the start of January we have been raising money for them, as part of a year-long charity link up. We’re happy to announce that we have already handed over £6,145 and we have more in the pipeline.

Dani Hope, Marketing Director from Lake District Hotels commented; “Amy’s Care is a fantastic local community group that aims to help maintain people’s independence and improve their quality of life, and we are delighted to be supporting them as our chosen charity for 2016.”

“Throughout our partnership we have raised money for Amy’s Care through a successful charity dinner at the Lodore Falls, our popular annual Royal Ascot Ladies Race Day at the Inn on the Lake, as well as having charity boxes positioned around our hotels and there’s more to come. It’ll be interesting to see how many pints of Cumberland Ale that we’ve sold across the group at the end of the month.”
