Wedding Insight at The Inn on the Lake

chris-and-beckie

Weddings at The Inn on the Lake each have their own story to tell, with each happy couple creating their own personal world there are lots of choices and decisions to make. This time we ask Chris and Beckie Tudor whose wedding took place on the 26th of November 2016, how everything came together for their special day.

Chris and Beckie’s Story

Chris and Beckie have been staying at The Inn on the Lake for the past 6 years. Chris first met Gary Wilson our General Manager here at Inn on the Lake, through mutual friends whilst on a golfing trip to Benalmadena in Spain.

Gary mentioned to Chris that he runs a hotel, which would be perfect for his wedding. Chris didn’t quite believe Gary at first and thought he was greatly embellishing the hotel and it was a little bed and breakfast. However when Chris and Beckie came to stay they were completely blown away by the beauty and location, and Beckie even mentioned that she could see herself getting married here.

They booked their wedding at Inn on the Lake the morning after Chris proposed. The date they chose was their daughter Annie’s second birthday who had her own birthday cake and balloons on the day.

The day itself was a perfect winter’s day, the sun was shining, not a breath of wind and snow-capped mountains lined the background. Their ceremony was held in the Lakeside Gazebo at 1pm, afterwards the happy couple and all their guests enjoyed a Prosecco and Peroni drinks reception in the Lounge Bar. Resting assured their guests were very cosy with their drinks, Beckie and Chris went outdoors to have photos taken around the grounds.

Beckie was worried whilst planning the big day that she would be freezing cold outside at that time of year. But the highly experienced staff at The Inn on the Lake advised that with the amount of adrenalin and nerves that would be flowing on the day she would be absolutely fine. Afterwards Beckie mentioned that she was actually quite warm as the sun was shining.

We asked Chris and Beckie a series of questions to see how their day came together.

How did Chris propose?

It was at the Inn on the Lake – Chris posted the ring to us, which we stored in the safe until they arrived. We placed the ring with a bottle of Champagne in their room for when they arrived.

Beckie didn’t notice the ring and walked straight passed it to admire the view. Chris went down on one knee and proposed.
