The award-winning Inn on the Lake in Glenridding is the perfect setting for a glamorous event, set on the shores of Lake Ullswater, with stunning 360 degree views. Each year the hotel hosts an annual charity show with Genevieve of Carlisle in aid of Hospice at Home, this year’s event took place on Thursday 30th April which attracted 64 ladies from various parts of Cumbria.
The annual event is a full day experience with show-stopping outfits and fabulous hats; Pimms awaits the ladies arrival in the Orangery, followed by a superb 3 course lunch in the stunning 2 AA Rosette Lake View restaurant, before finishing the afternoon off with a fashion show from Genevieve, featuring their ladies casual Spring/Summer collection as well as mother of the bride wedding wear.
The fashion show raised a total of £990 which included a generous donation from the Inn on the Lake as well as raffle ticket sales which were sold on the day. Gary Wilson, General Manager at the Inn on the Lake commented: “The charity fashion show is a fantastic occasion with many of the ladies returning each year. It’s a great pleasure for us to donate £10 of every ticket sale to such a worthy cause as Hospice at Home. Our next charity event is our Royal Ascot Ladies Race Day, in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance and has already sold out”.
