Lake District Hotels love dogs!

With being based in the most dog-friendly parts of the UK, Lake District Hotels not only allow dogs, but we encourage them!

Our fur babies are undoubtedly a part of our family and many people wish to bring them on holiday, which is why we have a range of dog-friendly rooms available across all 6 of our Lake District based hotels.

Because we love seeing your doggies enjoy themselves in our hotels (just as much as we enjoy seeing their four-legged owners) we’ve scoured Instagram for our most favourite pooch pics…

Don’t forget to tag us in your holiday snaps or send them over to us for the chance to be featured on our social media pages!

Dogs at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa has plenty of spaces for guests to relax with their dogs, plus ample amounts of walks and places to exercise right near the hotel entrance. The hotel has a dedicated ‘doggie lounge’ where you can enjoy meals from the Lake View Restaurant, Afternoon Tea or bar lunches. You can even spot portraits and artworks of dogs on the walls!

Please note, dogs are not permitted in the Deluxe Spa Suites, however a selection of Lodore Suites are dog-friendly if you were wanting to guarantee access to The Falls Spa during your stay.

Dogs at the Inn on the Lake

The Inn on the Lake hotel at Ullswater is ideally situated close to an abundance of dog walks – including some of the most famous in the Lake District. It also sits right on the shores of Ullswater lake which is perfect for a pooch paddle. Don’t forget to ask for dog towels from reception on your return to the hotel! Guests can dine with dogs in the Lounge and Orangery, or if you’re looking for somewhere more casual to enjoy a bite to eat, the dog-friendly Rambler’s Bar may be more up your street.

Dogs at the Inn on the Square

The Inn on the Square is Keswick’s swankiest hotel and is perfect for pampered pooches! At this town centre hotel you get the best of both worlds. You can sip sumptuous cocktails in the stylish Front Bar, or take a seat in the dog-loving Back Bar where you can enjoy local ales and watch live sport on the plasma screen TVs. There’s also a pretty terrace out front which basks in the sunshine all day long.

Dogs at the Borrowdale Hotel

Out of all 6 of our hotels, the Borrowdale Hotel may possibly be the most dog-friendly of them all. Burrowed within the peace and serenity of the Borrowdale Valley, the Borrowdale Hotel runs on the principles of tradition and excellent hospitality. Dogs are permitted in the pretty gardens, cosy bar and lounge area and within the sparkling conservatory where you can admire the stunning scenery. This is the ideal hotel to escape to if you’re truly looking to switch off from life’s pressures.

Dogs at the Kings Arms Hotel

The Kings Arms is a homely, town-centre pub and hotel which was once a traditional coaching inn that has maintained its personal service over the years. This hotel has 13 unique bedrooms, an excellent restaurant ad a bar which is popular with both locals and visitors alike – and their dogs! This is the perfect place to visit if your four-legged friend likes a lot of fuss!

Dogs at the Skiddaw Hotel

The Skiddaw Hotel has recently underwent a full ground-floor refurbishment AND received a 4th star for excellence! Although the hotel now boasts a 4-star status, the warm service that the hotel is known for has well and truly remained – and this is especially the case when it comes to canine companions also. You can dine with your dogs in the contemporary bar and bright conservatory that overlooks Keswick’s Market Square.
