The evening began with a yeehaw with a performance from local line dancers’ group the Keswick Crazy Kickers who entertained guests with routines to crowd pleasing country classics.

Canapes and a delicious 4 course themed dinner were served, featuring mini Wild West hamburgers, Buffalo chicken balls and Ma’s homemade warm cornbread. The Wild West set menu delighted guests with Southern fried chicken tacos to start, Lonestar sweet potato soup, Billy the Kid’s campfire BBQ beef brisket for main and Prospector’s pecan pie for dessert.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed entertainment from The Country Chix tribute band and DJ ‘Dancing in the Dark’ who provided toe tappin’, ye harrin’ sweet & sassy Country music to dance the night away to.

A whopping £2,360 was raised for our charity of the year Keswick School! £20 from each ticket sale was donated, while guests had chance to win an array of amazing prizes with our raffle and auction. The evening was sponsored by Jennings Brewery and the raffle and auction prizes were generously donated from The Falls Spa, Friars of Keswick, Silloth Golf Club, Bath House, Pringle & Fairweather, Kong Adventure, Evergreens, Bedrock Gin, Ullswater Steamers and more.

The event is the latest in our fundraising efforts to help establish Keswick Schools new food technology department.
