National Christmas Jumper Day took place on Friday 16th December; it’s that time of year when people everywhere get in on the act, to wear their festive jumper and raise money for charity. The Inn on the Lake is currently playing host to a fabulous interactive kinetic sculpture commissioned by Eden Rivers Trust, perfectly positioned on part of the front lawn of the Hotel the natural wooden curves of the sculpture blend perfectly with the rugged landscape and dramatic fells surrounding Glenridding. However, this sculpture not only impresses the eye but tells the dramatic story of our natural world and the personal stories of victims of the 2015 floods.
On Sunday (11th December) we put the general public’s taste-buds to the test, as they joined us on market square to sample not one, not two but seven different mulled wines at our festive competition. Each of our seven hotels prepared a different mulled wine recipe, which Mrs Santa and her little elf kindly dished out to locals and visitors, offering the perfect excuse to enjoy a good mulled wine and getting everyone into the festive spirit.

This time we ask Chris and Beckie Tudor whose wedding took place on the 26th of November 2016, how everything came together for their special day.
