Pancake Recipe

Can’t make it to one of our hotels for pancakes? Then you’ll just have to make them at home… it’s actually very straight forward to make a simple pancake recipe. Here’s how:

Ingredients:

1 large egg
1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
pinch of salt
topping of choice

Method:

1.
Sift the flour and salt so they’re mixed together

2.
Make a well in the flour and crack the egg into the well. Use a fork and whisk the egg up and into the flour

3.
Gradually add the milk and whisk until all milk has been added and all lumps of flour are gone. The consistency should be runny like thin cream

4.
Heat a pan on high, then turn to medium and add a knob of butter

5.
Test pancake – pour a couple of tablespoons of the batter into the pan, swirl the pan so the batter spreads evenly. After 30 seconds you should be able to flip the pancake and it should be slightly golden on the underside. This is to see how your first pancake comes out!

6.
Repeat the test pancake method until you have all your pancakes ready. Keep them warm in an oven on low heat

7.
Serve ASAP with your favourite toppings
