Playtimes have just got much more fun for Patterdale Primary School pupils with thanks to a little help from the Inn on the Lake at Ullswater.
We are proud to have been able to offer the school a substantial donation of £2,000 to enable them to purchase and install an adventure frame and swing bars for the school field.
The previous playground equipment had been run down and Lake District Hotels are incredibly happy that they could do their bit to bring some joy to the local children during playtimes – the new additions have gone down a real treat with the children who were very excited to see the finished project!
Gary Wilson, General Manager of the Inn on the Lake, visited the school to officially open the new adventure area on Friday 21st April and handed over a cheque for £2,000 to Headteacher, Nicky Steels.
“Patterdale is a small school with only 35 pupils, and funding projects like this can be very difficult. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing local community and fantastic local businesses that are willing to help and support the school.
