Supporting the Cumbrian Flood Appeal

Rory Bremner stays at the Skiddaw Hotel

Top TV impressionist Rory Bremner has been entertaining audiences across Penrith, Kendal, Keswick and Lancaster this February with four special charity shows, all in aid to raise money for those affected by flooding over the festive season across the north of England.

Lake District Hotels Ltd were more than happy to help with this fantastic cause by providing accommodation at the Skiddaw Hotel for Rory Bremner and his supporting acts on Thursday 25th February, for the night of their ‘Come Hell and High Water’ show at the Theatre by the Lake.

Rory Bremner commented, “It’s fantastic to wake up in the Lake District and to see all the support for those affected by the flooding”.

Dani Hope, Marketing Director for Lake District Hotels, commented, “As well as offering accommodation at the Skiddaw Hotel, we worked with Lakin McCarthy Entertainment and the Theatre by the Lake to offer two lucky winners an overnight stay at the four star Inn on the Square, plus tickets to the Rory Bremner show at the Theatre by the Lake. It was lovely to hear that the competition winner was a regular guest to the Lodore Falls Hotel and that they were also celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary that same day”.
