While the Queen’s actual birthday is today (21st April), the celebrations for her 90th will take place on 12th to 15th May on private grounds at Windsor Castle, followed with a huge street party on The Mall to mark her official birthday falling on the 12th June. It’s expected that 10,000 guests will attend, including the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince William and Prince Harry.
This may not be The Mall… but it’s the Lakes! In honour of Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday, we’re serving up a tea fit for a Queen. For the whole of June you can indulge in our delightfully decadent Royal Afternoon Tea at all our hotels (except the Kings Arms).
