Lake District Hotels’ Executive Chef, Mark Harris has craftily updated the traditional afternoon tea that we all know and love and given it a bit of VIP treatment, leaving us with this new menu which offers an array of luxurious artisan delicacies.
Mark has been in cahoots with our new French pastry chef to produce a decadent Afternoon Tea that features all the traditional goodies such as: dainty finger sandwiches, golden puff pastry sausage rolls, and homemade scones; as well as some French-inspired treats including mini citrus tarts, hazelnut choux buns, chocolate & bergamot ganache plus many more.

Priced at £22.95 per person, the Lodore Falls Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed in our elegant Lake View Restaurant or in the comfortable Lake View Lounge, so you can admire the breathtaking views of Lake Derwenwater whilst you nibble away.
Alternatively, if the weather permits, opt for an al fresco afternoon tea that you can indulge on from the grace of one of our outdoor terraces – also offering panoramic views of the magnificent hotel grounds and/or the valley.
We also have an uber stylish conservatory that screams sophistication, making for the perfect cosy corner to snack on our sweet treats. Why not bring the pooch along? We even serve afternoon tea in our dog-friendly Library Lounge so you can even treat yourself while on a walk – we can’t promise there wont be any drooling (from humans or theirs pets!)

The traditional afternoon tea is served with your choice of tea or coffee, however if you are feeling extra indulgent, you can upgrade to include a glass of fizz!
