Did you know that we’ve just refurbished 25% of our bedrooms at the Skiddaw Hotel? We like to make sure our rooms are as up to date as possible. That also means checking the mattresses are still as comfortable as they can be. We also work with local and international acclaimed bed company Sealy Beds to ensure our guests have a great night’s sleep.

This year we’re celebrating – its 20 years since we joined the Lake District Hotels group and many of our guests are now regulars. We’ve also hosted the odd celebrity who likes staying under the radar like Jason Orange from Take That and James Cracknell. A rather more frequent guest is Julia Bradbury – especially when filming in the area. She loves our Cumbrian breakfasts and has been known to enjoy our Friday and Saturday music nights – loved by locals and visitors alike.
