My name is Claire, I’m married and I’m a mum of 2 lovely little girls. I am a bridal hairstylist, and I have been lucky to style brides at the Inn on the Lake for well over 10 years now.
- How would you describe your style?
I love all types of bridal hair styling, but I would say my specialism is clean, classic and timeless styles. Glam waves and updos are my favourites!

A wedding I will never forget is one I did in Storm Desmond in 2015. All the roads were flooded, but I still made it, and my bride and groom made it onto the news!

My name is Kennedy, and I specialise in bridal makeup to look perfect in person and on camera. I travel all over the UK & abroad, but there’s no place like The Lakes for your special day, trust me! I will help you feel beautiful inside and out, alongside being your support buddy, your personal skin guru, and your ultimate confidence booster. I will always be one message away for anything you need at all.
- How would you describe your style?
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution with makeup. I do specialise in natural makeup, and I love to enhance your natural features. However, my makeup styles vary from very light, boho, to fuller coverage depending on my bride’s style. My kit contains products from pretty much every high-end brand there is, so don’t worry about a spot or a wrinkle! I’ve got you.
- What do you love most about working at Inn on the Lake?
I adore Inn on Lake; it actually makes my job easier and breezier knowing when I’m in that bridal suite. My clients are so looked after and their every wish is granted, the day runs so smoothly and there’s never any chaos or upset brides (and never any shortage of champagne or beautiful food!) The staff are incredible and will go above and beyond to ensure you have the most magical day.

My most recent memorable wedding was a couple who had their cake delivered to the wrong venue… The bride hadn’t a clue about her error as the hotel team sorted it out before she even knew!
- What’s your top piece of advice for couples planning their wedding?
My tip for couples planning their day, trust your co-ordinator. Your wedding day is their priority, and you are so looked after! Also, do not stress about your guests, they’re in the most beautiful place in the UK (in my opinion!), so they’re going to love every second of the day.

My passion is to help enhance my bride’s natural beauty. I want you to feel like the best version of yourself on one of the most important days of your life. My goal is to show off your true complexion, not an overly contoured, heavy base, but a fresh, vibrant skin. I want to showcase your authentic self and distinct personality. I’m there to be the calming presence in what can sometimes be an emotional, excitable room. I carry a cruelty-free professional kit, working alongside brands that support this sustainable ethos.

I’m lucky enough for Inn on the Lake to be one of my most frequented venues in the area. Probably biased, but it’s the best window in the Lakes for a makeup artist to work! The lighting is always perfect, and the large, spacious bridal rooms are pure luxury! The staff are the friendliest around and can’t do enough to ensure your wedding day is perfect.
- What’s your standout wedding moment?
The best moments for me have to be when a bride sits in my chair, to see her relax, taking in the view of the lake and mountains and know that she’s in safe hands with her wedding suppliers. It’s enough to calm any brides nervous butterflies.
- What’s your top piece of advice for couples planning their wedding?
Don’t give yourself any jobs for the morning; allow your bridesmaids to take over any last-minute preparations so you can fully relax. Stay hydrated, we all love a dewy skin and a fresh glow. Our skin needs all the water it can get. Allow an hour to get into your dress. It takes longer than you think to put on your shoes, jewellery and any final touches before you have your pre ceremony photos.
