We’ve chosen to do something a little different — moving away from the traditional festive look to create a design that truly represents the people and cultures that make our Lake District hotel so special.
Inspired by our talented chefs and team members, we’re celebrating Indian culture by blending the beauty and vibrancy of India with the warmth of a Lake District Christmas.
Expect a palette of rich jewel-toned decorations, glowing lights, and elegant garlands, with touches that capture the warmth and generosity of Indian hospitality.
Thanks to the creativity and design vision of Trish — brought to life with the invaluable support of her assistant, Dawn — our amazing Christmas team has created a space where the colours of India meet the cosiness of Keswick. The result is a festive celebration that glows with warmth, togetherness, and the unmistakable charm of the Lake District at Christmas.
Lighting Up Keswick This Christmas with a Festival of Lights
In India, Diwali is a vibrant celebration of light, joy, and new beginnings that typically happens in October or November.
We wanted to bring that same sense of brightness and positivity to Inn on the Square. Every year, the hotel helps light up the heart of Keswick, transforming the market square into a warm and welcoming space where locals and visitors come together for Christmas shopping, festive catch-ups, and seasonal stays surrounded by the magic of the Lakes.

Brossen Steakhouse hasn’t been left out of the festivities – the restaurant is sparkling with its own seasonal style. Known for its wide selection of locally sourced produce, handpicked for amazing flavours and only the very best mouth-watering meat, Brossen becomes an extra-special place to dine during the festive season.
