At the Inn on the Lake, we aim to provide our guests with a home away from home. All of the 44 suites and bedrooms are thoughtfully designed and styled with our guests comfort and relaxation in mind. Fitted with modern high-class amenities, you can settle down in one of the comfortable chairs while reading a book or watching the large flat screen TV, and look forward to getting cosy in the crisp white bed linen on luxurious Sealy beds.

We are a dog friendly hotel and most of our rooms take dogs. Rest assured that our bedrooms are cleaned to a very high standard so if you’re not a dog person you won’t even know there’s been one in the room! We also have rooms which we don't allow dogs in, please let us know when you book if you would like one of these rooms.

Our two Lake View Suites (newly introduced in December 2023) stand as our grandest and most remarkable bedrooms. Each suite boasts a generous private balcony, providing breathtaking views of our gardens and Ullswater Lake with reclining chairs, while inside revel in luxury with a separate lounge area, walk-in wardrobe and tea and coffee station with fridge..
Kindly note that while we strive to meet your preferences, we're unable to guarantee a specific room or view for your stay. Nevertheless, we'll do our utmost to accommodate any special requests. Regrettably, these rooms are not suitable for our furry friends.
The Lake View Feature rooms at the Inn on the Lake are an impressive ensemble of stunning bedrooms, all with breath-taking lake views.
We offer travel cots and extra beds (for children) at a small extra cost. Most of these rooms are dog friendly.
In every Lake View room at the Inn on the Lake you will find your own perfect snapshot of Lake Ullswater. Whether a King size, double or a comfortable twin, every bed is guaranteed to be made with handpicked linens to ensure you experience the ultimate in relaxation and luxury.

Each Fell View room is finished to a high standard with a seating area and bright, airy bathrooms for extra comfort. Most rooms can be either a twin or double. We have single bed Fell Rooms available too!
We make sure all of our standard rooms provide our guests with a high level of comfort. Although these rooms do not have a lake or fell view, you can still enjoy the hotel’s spectacular setting downstairs in the Lake View lounges!
