The Inn on the Lake is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies and offers an exceptional setting for your special day, any day of the week.
We have many years experience carrying out these wonderful ceremonies, you can choose a selection of approved rooms or our stunning Lakeside gazebo, offering flexibility when it comes to numbers - from smaller more intimate gatherings to much larger celebrations up to 100 guests.

Situated in our magnificent grounds overlooking Lake Ullswater, seating available for up to 100 guests.
Glenridding Suite
With a delightful view to the lake and landscaped gardens with doors that lead onto the terrace, for up to 70 guests.
Lake View Restaurant
This picturesque room has beautiful lake views, ideal for larger ceremonies, with seating for up to 100 guests.

Glenridding Suite
Perfect for smaller functions this elegant suite has
wonderful views and offers an intimate atmosphere. Catering for up to 50
guests.
Candleroom
With a striking glass front, exposed oak beams, Cumbrian
slate feature wall and dramatic church candle lights hanging from the
rafters – the Candleroom has its own bar and is ideal for up to 70 guests.
Candleroom
A lofty and bright oak beamed room is a stunning glass fronted extension to Ramblers Bar. Classically modern with aubergine, plum and pewter grey plush fabrics, comfy dining chairs. The beams are adorned with church candles hanging, lending themselves to fairy lights and garlands, it won’t take much imagination to make this space the perfect fit for your wedding. The Candleroom is available for up to 70 guests.
Ramblers Bar and Candleroom
For larger weddings up to 150 guests, we can also include Ramblers Bar which is adjacent to the Candleroom. With its Lakeland stone walls, wooden floor and beams; Ramblers is a perfect venue for a disco or live music.
Glenridding Suite
Ideal for an informal gathering for up to 50 people, no disco or live music allowed in this venue, just background music.
