Mid Life Crisis Car Club, North Hertfordshire, May 2014
Spectacular driving routes. The Lodore Falls is a first class hotel with excellent food and impeccable service. I would unhesitatingly recommend to other car clubs.

The Beano Boys, May 2012
Where to start! Our stay with you last week, and the motoring tours that you put on for us, without doubt, made for one of the best trips that we have ever made. The weather, of course played its part, and the Lake District looked fantastic!

The management and staff of not only the Lodore Falls, but the other hotels that we visited (Armthawaite Hall and The Inn on the Lake), could not have been any more accommodating. Your organisation of the trip, and the motoring tours, and the execution by Charles (Graves, owner), Stephen and Hans (hotel manager and deputy manager), and all of the staff at the Lodore Falls Hotel left us with a very good impression of an excellent, well run and managed establishment. The menus and catering were all to a very high standard, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you.

We hope to return to stay with you again sometime in the future. Once again many thanks, and enjoy your summer in the Lakes.

Motoring Breaks in the Lakes

Aston Martin Club organisers, April 2013
We had a wonderful, long weekend and everyone was delighted with the hotel and how helpful all the staff were - some said they would return for another holiday. As organisers we were so pleased that there were no adverse comments in fact praise was heaped on the standard of the food and service and the comfort of the bedrooms.

Motoring Breaks in the Lakes

Helen Pearce, MidMog Club, April 2013
In April 2013 a small contingent from the MidMog club, ie the branch of the Midland Morgan Sports Car Club based in Worcestershire, stayed at the Inn on the Lake for a long weekend. We were welcomed with afternoon tea and scones, and found our fell view rooms very comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast – some of us made it a healthy option with fish, and some of us indulged in the substantial full Cumbrian! We all particularly enjoyed the wonderful a la carte four course dinner, and the relaxing atmosphere of the residents bar for drinks and coffee, each evening.

The hotel management gave us lots of tourist information and some detailed drives. Our Saturday route took us to the Lakeland Motor Museum via Kirkstone Pass and Windermere. We rode on the train of the Haverthwaite Steam Railway to Lakeside; and drove back to Ullswater via Ambleside and experienced “The Struggle”!

On Sunday we joined our Yorkshire MSCC members at Tan Hill Inn in the Dales National Park. The drive took us up through remote moorland scenery to the pub which claims to be the highest in Great Britain, and we returned via the pretty Swaledale.

We enjoyed the weekend enormously. I think I can speak for all in saying that we found the food and accommodation excellent, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Frank Hodgkins, Model T Club, July 2015
Following our visit to your hotel last Friday with our Model t’s for lunch, please convey our appreciation to all the staff involved who were all so kind and friendly. The soup and fresh sandwiches couldn’t have been better and absolutely perfect following our drive over Kirkstone Pass.
