As evening falls, the festivities begin with a glamorous cocktail and canapé reception, where our General Manager and his team will warmly welcome you and introduce the exciting three-day programme ahead. Then, take your seat in Brasserie 31 for a sumptuous four-course welcome dinner, setting the scene for an unforgettable New Year’s break.
Later, wrap up warm and join us for a magical candlelit procession to the peaceful shores of Lake Derwentwater. With a comforting Baileys hot chocolate in hand and a lantern lighting the way, you’ll experience the tranquillity of the Lake District by night— a truly enchanting start to your New Year celebrations.

We picked Skiddaw Hotel due to its location and most of all the fun list of activities to do over our 3 day stay. We arrived and were greeted by Johnny who explained the details of our stay. We had a booklet in our room which outlined all the activities and meal times along with the menus for each evening. The food was absolutely superb and all the staff were tremendous in making us feel so welcome. We loved it.

As evening approaches, cosy up by the roaring fire in the hotel bar before glamming up for a great night of entertainment. Prepare to be dazzled as our talented chefs present a spectacular six-course Gala dinner, complete with a special appearance by a traditional piper! After feasting, let loose on the dance floor with our resident singers and DJ, keeping the party going until the wee hours.
When the clock strikes midnight, join in the Keswickian tradition by gathering in the Market Square to welcome the New Year. Back inside, we'll be ready with a glass of bubbly and some traditional haggis, neeps and tatties to keep the celebration going.

Just been for New Year and it was the most incredible stay I've ever had. The food was incredible, the facilities superb and the staff were just amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommended.
