This route follows the old Keswick to Penrith railway path, last used in 1972. This idyllic 5km walk (10km there and back) takes you over the River Greta and to the quaint village of Threlkeld. This trail is surfaced with tarmac, designed to be accessible for all. There are also seats at regular intervals, and a video available on the Lake District National Park website to help you visualise the journey.
