Lynda was lucky enough to win a luxurious 2-night stay on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis, in the beautiful Southey Suite at the Skiddaw Hotel. This was in collaboration with the popular Discover Britain Magazine.
Laura and her dog, Rosie, have won a 2-night stay on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis, in a Prestige Room at the Borrowdale Hotel. This was a competition in collaboration with Dog Friendly Magazine, where entrants were asked to share why their dog deserved to the title of winner.
Christmas is the season of giving, which is why in early December we ran a month long competition on the Lake District Hotels Facebook page giving away a luxury afternoon tea for 2 people worth £64.
To spread even more festive joy, The Falls Spa teamed up with ishga skincare to offer one lucky winner a Rasul Ritual Spa Day for 2 people and ishga provided a £100 online gift voucher.
As part of a 12 days of Christmas giveaway in collaboration with FatFace, we gave away a 1-night stay in a Premium Suite at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa for 2 people including dinner, breakfast, spa access and a Journey of the Senses Rasul Ritual. FatFace provided a £500 e-voucher.
To commemorate the launch of the Borrowdale Hotel Summer Lunch Menu where guests can enjoy 2-courses for £25, we ran a social media competition where 3 lucky winners were selected to enjoy their own 2-course lunch including a glass of wine for good measure.
On World Cucumber Day, Friday 16th June, we offered all guests a FREE Hendrick’s gin & tonic in exchange for a cucumber across our 3 Keswick hotel bars! To help inspire us what to do with the influx of cucumbers we were yet to receive, we asked people for recipe suggestions with the winner obtaining a complimentary bottle of Hendrick’s gin.
As part of a voting campaign for the 2023 Good Spa Guide Awards, we ran a competition where we gave away a Restart Spa Day for 2 people. The Falls Spa was nominated for Best Spa Gardens and won!
To celebrate King Charles III’s Coronation, we placed life size cardboard cutouts of His Majesty around all 6 of our hotels and encouraged guests to take photos with the monarch. The best photo won a Coronation Afternoon Tea.
In April 2023, we once again teamed up with Great British Life Magazine, but this time we gave away a luxury 2-night stay at the Borrowdale Hotel worth over £600. The competition was to celebrate the hotel’s ground floor refurbishment.
