We can reserve your chosen wedding date for you for up to 14 days. This should allow you time to finalise plans for your church, civil or humanist ceremony.

Confetti must be bio-degradable. Chinese lanterns are not permitted due to the harm they can cause to the local environment. Firework displays are not usually permitted, unless prior written consent has been granted and they are low noise.

We have the facilities to play your ceremony music either indoors or outdoors through a PA speaker. If you would prefer to book live music for your ceremony, please contact us to discuss this further. Four songs are ideal; one song for entrance, two for signing the registrar and one for the exit.

There are many things to consider when looking at booking a band/DJ, so please discuss this with us so we can go through all of the rules and restrictions with you. Due to our location certain bands may not be permitted to perform due to sound restrictions

Ceremonies must be booked by you directly with Cumbria Registrars. Our recommended ceremony times are between 12.00-1.30pm (subject to availability of the Registrar). Any other ceremony times may affect timings for the remainder of the day. Please check with the hotel before confirming times outside of the suggested above timings. If your wedding breakfast is in the Lake View restaurant then the latest time to sit down for your wedding breakfast would be 3.30pm.

Your booking is confirmed upon receipt by us of a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of £1000, accompanied by a signed copy of the contract, along with details of the estimated numbers for the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebration.

If alcoholic favours are being provided by you, a corkage charge of £3.50 per 50ml bottle would be added to the main bill. We do not allow any other alcohol to be brought into the hotel.

Yes we allow candles as long as they have a good base.

Yes you are more than welcome to provide your own cake or cheese cake, this can displayed for photographs during the day and can be served at the evening reception.

Absolutely not! We host only one wedding per day in the hotel to ensure your wedding is completely your own & your party are offered the attention & care you deserve for your special day.

Yes your dog can attend the wedding ceremony it would just need to be confirmed with the cumbrian registrars.

The wedding couple will receive a complimentary Lake View Feature room for the night of their wedding.

A confirmation pack will be sent out to you once your wedding date has been confirmed which includes an accommodation voucher. These detail the preferential rates available for your guests to book, varying on room type. The code can be entered in the promotion code section of our website to book online or alternatively, guests can call our reservations team direct & quote the code. We request a non-refundable deposit of £100 per double bedroom at the time of booking to secure their booking.

Yes we recommend booking the bridal suite for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding so that you can have the morning at you leisure getting ready in your room and of course have some amazing photographs with the lake as the backdrop.
