Local residents from the Eden area hosted their annual over 60’s lunch last week at the 4-star Inn on the Lake on the shores of Ullswater.
The jolly event which is held annually saw over 75 local guests enjoy 3 delicious courses of festive food in the hotel’s award-winning Lake View restaurant on Wednesday 1st December.
Guests were all in high spirits and wanted to make the most of their afternoon to make up for the previous year when people were required to limit their contact with loved ones due to the COVID 19 restrictions in place.

Even our General Manager, Gary Wilson, got an invite this year now he has come of age!
The annual lunch was first started back in 1980 by Jean Smith who introduced a swear box to the Hikers Bar, now known as Ramblers Bar, which is situated in the grounds of the hotel.

The Inn on the Lake is serving 3-course festive lunches every day until 2nd January 2022. We are also offering Festive Afternoon Teas plus seasonal specials which can be enjoyed while overlooking Ullswater lake or in the comfort of our roaring fireplaces.
