Meeting Santa is a core memory engraved in everybody’s childhood; it is a popular tradition that helps to keep the magic of Christmas alive. The excitement of the festive season truly came into fruition at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa on the 3rd December as we held a Sunday Lunch with Santa event!
Families began their afternoon in our Lake View Restaurant surrounded by the delightful decorations put in place by our talented Christmas coordinator, Trish. This festively dressed dining room truly set the scene for the magical day ahead with glittering, gold Christmas trees, extravagant hanging garlands and crackers waiting to be pulled on every table.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the arrival of the one and only Santa Claus himself! Eyes could be seen lighting up as he made his way around the restaurant, greeting the children and handing out wrapped gifts. The jolly man greeted each child with warmth and cheer, listening attentively to their Christmas wishes.
Now Santa had arrived, it was time to tuck into a delectable Sunday Lunch with a juicy roast, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables, lashes of delicious gravy, finished off with all the festive trimmings. Families indulged in a hearty meal designed to warm the soul and diverge its consumer into the Christmas spirit.
It turned out it wasn’t just the little ones who reveled in the appearance of Santa…spreading joy wherever he went, he embarked on a merry stroll around the hotel. Adults and children alike couldn’t contain their excitement as they spotted him and stopped to capture the moment. He took a walk through our bar, Conservatory and even visited our pan-Asian restaurant, Mizu! Laughter echoed through the hotel as the joy of Santa seemed to be contagious spreading from the youngest to oldest of guests.
Tired from all the fun, Santa retired to his grotto where he was visited by lots of lovely little boys and girls…it’s been said that every single one has a place on the ‘nice list’! Here they got to sit in a plush, velvet seat beside the famous Father Christmas and have their photo taken.
As the afternoon ended, hearts were brimmed with cheer and wholesome memories made. Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa had woven its charm, creating an unforgettable festive experience that will be talked about for years to come.
