Amidst the classy, stylish ambiance of Brasserie 31, guests were transported to the streets of Spain as Skiddaw Hotel Dining Club hosted its first ever event! The much-anticipated ‘Spanish Tasting Night’ was a huge hit, we have received an influx of positive feedback, and are still reeling in pride from its great success.
The event commenced with an exclusive wine tasting experience presented by Grapevine. Guests embarked on a sensory voyage through Spain’s renowned vineyards, savouring a selection of exquisite wines that showcased the country’s diverse flavours.
As the evening unfolded, diners were treated to a sumptuous 7-course menu meticulously crafted by Head Chef, Bobby, who has an extensive Spanish culinary background. With each course, Bobby animatedly took to the stage where he introduced the intricacies of the dish, imparting knowledge onto our guests enriching their dining experience.
The atmospheric melodies of Scott Robertson added to the enchanting ambiance, whose live Spanish guitar music set the tone imparting the perfect balance of tranquil, chill, and fun, upbeat vibes. His engaging performance captivated the audience, infusing the evening with an extra layer of Spanish flare.

In the spirit of giving back to the Keswick community, the Skiddaw Hotel Dining Club held a raffle during the event, with a bottle of Champagne as the coveted prize. Through the generosity of our brilliant Dining Club members, a total of £110 was raised for our Charity of the Year, underscoring Lake District Hotels’ ethos of making a positive impact.
