Locals come together to celebrate Mizu Style!

On Thursday 7th June, we welcomed over 40 locals to Mizu, the brand-new pan-Asian restaurant at the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel.

Gin cocktails and a selection of tempting Japanese, Korean, Malaysian and Thai-style canapés, which had been prepared by Head Chef, Kasun Jayasooriya from Sri Lanka and his talented team, Sous Chef, Tony De Garcia and Chef de Partie, Adrian Embang, both of which hail from the Philippines, were enjoyed by local B&B owners, campsite owners, suppliers, as well as shop and attraction owners.  Matt Collins, General Manager and his team chatted about the opening of Mizu, the type of food on offer and their new loyalty scheme which has been introduced to benefit local businesses as well as their friends, family and customers.

Matt commented, “We’ve had a fantastic time opening Mizu, from the initial idea to introduce a Pan Asian restaurant in the heart of the Lake District, to the menu tastings, training the staff and of course the feedback that we have received from our customers since opening. The afternoon was a great opportunity to meet some of the locals, whilst showing off the best of Mizu!”

Opening times: Wednesday – Sunday, 12-2pm and 6-9pm
