Sunday (5th November) was a lovely crisp day and formed the perfect backdrop for the Strictly Mulled Wine competition, which took place on Keswick’s Market Square. It was a fun competition between local hotels, cafes and guest houses, with donations made to our charity of the year, Blood Bikes Cumbria.
This festive season is particularly exciting for the staff and guests at the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel; following on from receiving a complete ground floor refurbishment earlier this year, our plush new furnishing are about to be joined by pretty Christmas trees, hundreds of baubles and thousands of twinkling lights.
Our Kitchen Rivals charity banquet is back and plans to raise thousands for three local charities; Blood Bikes Cumbria, Great North Air Ambulance and Cumbria Community Foundation. Back in January 2016, we partnered up with Cumbrian business law firm Baines Wilson LLP and Barclays to take up the knife and fork challenge in ‘Kitchen Rivals,’ a black-tie event at the Lodore Falls Hotel, raising £13,305 for their chosen charities.

The George Hotel was visited by the AA Inspector earlier this month and was praised for having a commendable history, as well as it’s hard working and dedicated team of management and staff, for providing a strong service and friendly guest experience.
